Proper and elegant hardware for mounting chaincases or chainguards has been almost impossible to find for years. The VO hardware may be used with the included bands that wrap around the seat and down tubes, or you may ask your frame builder to add 5mm bosses so the studs screw directly into the frame. We also also have a version that fits production chainguards to replace the typical crude and heavy hardware that comes with most chainguards. The chaincase hardware comes with a chainstay bracket that is wider and uses two screws (as shown in the photo) so will not fit smaller chain guards. The chainguard version comes with a p-clamp that uses a single screw. This hardware is not recommended for the Sun chainguards; they use a different mounting system. |
