We'd been looking for a nice modern stainless steel water bottle for ages and chose Klean Kanteen a number of years ago. Unlike plastic bottles, there is no funky plastic taste, the tops are non-leaching, and they will last a lifetime with care. Replacement tops are also available.

The 27oz bottles work best with the Moderniste and Retro (No Tab) Cages, while with 40oz size works best with our Mojave Cages.

The 27oz bottles are about 1-2mm narrower that many plastic bottles, so you might want to bend your bottle cage in just a touch for a perfect fit. The height for the 18oz is 8.75" and 11" for the 27 and 40oz versions.

Note: The 18oz and 27oz bottles feature a "sport top", while the 40oz bottle has a wide loop cap. The 18oz is also slightly narrower than the other models, which makes them a more looser fit in general. If you're looking to use your bottle in a cage, we recommend the two larger sizes.

Nice bottle

The valve works good.
The cap has a loop to hook a carabiner to for hiking or whatever.
The bottle fits in a normal bottle cage.
Simple but effective design.

a great bottle, as long as you don't mind some clinking

These are a great replacement for the plastic bottles I had which ended up being hard to clean. If you are bothered by a little noise though, I would not recommend it. It's not very loud but it is there.
