These bottle mounts are rock solid. They are easily customizable by adding a 1/4 " x 15mm strip of aluminum stock, drilled and countersunk for the bar mount screws then threaded for the cage thereby lowering the CG of the water weight to a lower more stable position. Believe me, lowering by 1" to 2" inches vastly improves the appearance and stability especially when carrying big bottles.

Works when you really have no options. Easy to mount. Would be nice to get them in anodized colors.

So it didn’t fit on my handlebars because there’s not enough room. If I had 1/2” more space, this beautifully machined and finished bit of kit would’ve solved water bottle placement on my daily commuter. You see, I recently converted my 29er to an ebike and With the big battery pack, there’s not any room in the triangle for a bottle and cage. Guess I’ll have to go with a feed-bag type solution.

So now this piece of gear is in my parts drawer waiting for another application on another day.

I found that the rubber strip that was glued to the inside of the clamp, got hot in the heat and slipped. I took them off and cleaned all the glue off and wrapped the bar with Gaffers Tape and installed the clamp over the Gaffers Tape and all is good.
