Taylor's Pass Hunter Rando Dream Bike
Figured I would shamelessly submit my recent Pass Hunter build for hopeful inclusion in the "Bike Build Ideas" section of the website. See attached for a quick backyard photo. Staying on-theme with the design intent of the frame, this build definitely falls into the retro-modern category. Downtube shifters, hybrid disc brakes, classic long reach handlebars, tubeless tires, dynamo headlamp, and a 2x (gasp) drivetrain. This build is directly inspired by the other two metallic graphite builds you guys have posted, taking cues from both of them while leaning heavily to the classic/vintage/retro rando side. My intent for this build was to assemble a truly all-road bike; something I could ride fast on the bike path, but easily crawl up the local trails. A simple, beautiful bike that could be ridden comfortably all day, in any type of weather.
