not awful, but not as stout as i had hoped it would be (bike topples too easily if nudged).
I like the stand itself, it’s a very nice stand, but my gosh it was a pain to install. The height adjustment screws didn’t fit at first and I needed to re-tap the holes so that they would. I had to do it 3 times before things went together. But once it’s on, it’s a very nice setup, I like the stability, the “out-of-the-way”-edness (well that’s a new one!) and the simplicity of it. I previously tried a stand like they have on the Japanese “mamachari” bicycles but they didn’t fit my bicycle so I had to go for a 2-footer. Which is fine! In the end, my goal was accomplished with this stand and now that it’s on, it’s great!
I wanted to love this but it’s not heavy duty enough to support my bike with my child in his carrier. It’s tippy and not sturdy.
I use this kickstand literally every single ride I go on. I haven't needed to search around for something to lean my bike against in ages. And lots of times there's nothing to lean against, and I just prop up the bike like nothing. It never snags on anything, and the weight is so low I don't notice it at all. It really boggles my mind, how are centerstands not more popular? Especially for adventure riding? It's the single best accessory I've put on my bike.
Kickstand is awesome, super well built!
