Brass Stem Cap
Like a well-used Leica rangefinder, there is something undeniably comforting and warm about brass that has aged and a bike that wears patina with pride. The fine folks over at Blue Lug in Japan couldn't find a good quality brass stem cap, so they started making their own.
Compatible with threadless steerers. Screw not included.
I swapped it for the factory black cap. Combined with the brass spacer it spices up the look.
It's a beautiful little bauble - albeit much heavier than it needs to be (which is why I rated it as a "4")
This piece is much heavier robust than I expected. It’s not your normal light weight top cap. I think they should have called it Sherman Tank bling. I’ve never been concerned with weight savings so really appreciated the quality and ruggedness of the piece. Great addition to my fast boy rando!
May not work with all systems. I ended up changing parts a little. It is not just for retro bikes as mine is on a Bianchi ti bike and offsets all the grey and black.
