What's with the name? It's a simple all-silver polished threadless stem with a 45 degree angle to keep your back and wallet happy. It's perfect for touring or dirt drops like our Dajia Far Bar.

It is a four-bolt face plate designed for 31.8mm bars and 1-1/8" (28.6mm) forks. You need at least 37mm of steerer tube to fit the stem. The stem has a 45-degree rise that results the vertical height of the 90 mm stem being 97 mm and 112 mm vertical height for the 110 mm stem. The design of the stem eliminates the need for a stem cap. Longer compression bolt is included. This stem will not work with the threadless stem adapter and is not to be used with carbon steerer tubes.

Stem appearance grows on you
Improvement in seated position is significant 2.5-3 inches more up and at least 1-1.5 inches closer.

Love it!

Much more comfortable riding position than with OEM stem! I ordered the short one, may need to take a centimeter off steering tube as even the shorty seems a tad too high presently. I'll give it time though, maybe with use I'll leave it be. Too easy to take metal off, too hard to put it back! Happy is a great nickname for this stem's design!

Great stem with a couple caveats

Attractive finish, seems well made, highest rise MTB tested stem I'm aware of, and does get the bars up higher, which is great. Care must be taken in installation so that the stem preloads the bearings - take it to a shop if you are not sure. A couple minor caveats - one, the finish on the inside of the stem can make it difficult to slide over the fork steerer. And thought should be given to handlebar choice. My partner's bike has a VO Crazy bar on it which has substantial back sweep, and this stem puts her hands just behind the steering axis, making the handling of the bike a bit twitchy. If her bars had less back sweep, or she was running drop bars, this wouldn't have the same impact. Understanding how the stem relates to the head tube angle of your frame and your previous stem can help - this stem comparison tool can be very handy: http://yojimg.net/bike/web_tools/stem.php. Knowing what figure to assign to this stem in terms of stack height is a bit tricky because the design is quite different than most.
