New Large and Small Round Things
If you look closely at a bicycle, it’s really just a collection of various-sized circles working together to get you down the road. This week, we have some exciting updates on both ends of the size spectrum - from the intricate details holding your drivetrain together to the complete wheels keeping you rolling.
Here is a look at the latest large and small round things to land in the shop.
The Small: Yellowbird Rotondo Crank Caps

There is a fine line between a bicycle component and a piece of functional art, and the new Yellowbird Rotondo Crank Caps cross that line gracefully.
Born and precision-machined in Connecticut, these solid brass caps bring a distinct heirloom quality to your build. The beautifully etched Rotondo patterning offers a classic, premium look that will age beautifully over time as the brass develops its own unique patina.

Underneath the fancy exterior lies a nylon insert that ensures pulling your cranks is a seamless, damage-free process. It’s manufacturing at its absolute finest, offering a little bit of workshop utility disguised as bicycle jewelry available in a few different designs to tie your build together.
The Large: The Next Generation of Wheels

On the other end of the spectrum, we’ve been working quietly behind the scenes to overhaul our wheel lineup. Whether you are running a mini-velo or rolling on terrain-crushing rubber, we have wheels for you.
We’ve laced our new Chronos Hubs and Ortbital Rims in 20", 650b, 700c, and 32" sizes.

Every one of these wheelsets is laced with stainless steel, double-butted spokes to strike the perfect balance of weight savings, compliance, and bombproof durability.
Classic Favorites, Upgraded

We didn’t want our staple wheelsets getting left behind, either. We’ve officially upgraded both our Voyager and Enterprise wheels to feature the new Chronos hubs. You get the same dependable, time-tested rim profiles you love, now spinning smoother and lasting longer than ever before.
Whether you’re looking to add a little brass brilliance to your crankset or completely transform your ride from the rubber up, we've got you covered.
The Yellowbird caps and the new Chronos/Orbital wheelsets are available on the site now. Head over to the store to check out the full technical specs and grab a set for your next project.
All three versions of the Rotondo are so good that it is hard to pick one; luckily I have more than one bike to outfit.
