I got my first real mountain bike frame, a Mongoose Alta All Terrain, from my step grandpa at age 14. I saved and scraped together parts to build it up and rode it everywhere.  That bike allowed me to explore the desert around my hometown in southwest Utah and stoked my love for the outdoors.  I've been riding bikes for the 30 years since then!

I first saw the Piolet when I went looking for a 29+ capable frame 8 years ago after moving to a new town in Northern UT.  It was one of the few non custom frames available that cleared a plus tire at the time.  I found a local dealer and discovered my new LBS at the same time.  I've been a loyal customer and friends with owner ever since!

The Piolet has been my primary mountain bike, a commuter, and is now my dedicated off-road touring rig.  Even with many other bikes in the stable, the Piolet is the most comfortable bike I own.  It's been built up so many different ways I can't even keep track any more.  It's perfect for long distance loaded rides on anything from smooth dirt roads to rocky loose 4x4 trails.
