These fenders class up your bike and have enough substance to protect it (and you) from the elements. While their styling alone warrants purchasing them, the mounting system and hardware quality makes them stand out. They are secure and well crafted , and I couldn't be happier.
Got a set of these for my '87 Schwinn LeTour 650B conversion. Installation was not difficult but a little challenging and all the hardware fit very nicely. The fenders look terrific on the bike but I will have to reposition them slightly since I went to 38mm tires from the original (but tight-fitting) 41mm. Fenders are very high-quality for the price.
They fit well with only a little re radius
Take a look they still take a while to mount
Mine are on my Soma GR with 584/42 tires. They look good, the installation kit is thorough, they stay in place and THEY DON'T RATTLE, and its five miles of Kansas farm road from my house to pavement. I installed my front rando-rack at the same time, low enough to attach the front end of the fender to it, and this was worth the effort. My installation kit was missing an eyebolt; as I recall, the free replacement made it from Annapolis in two days. Installation does require some combination of mechanical ability, patience, and attention to detail, but I managed anyway and Mom would be proud.
I have one suggestion: offer a 2-piece front fender, the second piece being a detachable lower that fits below the fender stay. This would allow easy transport of the bike using a front drop-out clamp, while still providing good protection for feet and drivetrain. I'd buy it.
