Day Tripper Saddle Bag

Our Day Tripper Saddle Bag is the perfect mate for cyclo-tourists, randonneurs, roadies, and mountain bikers alike looking for a bit more capacity during an all-day ride. It's a great size for packing an extra layer, tools, wallet, keys, camera, film, and even a mini-pump.

The bag uses a rip-stop nylon roll-top with a sturdy buckle for expandability and security of your belongings. A hearty flap and buckle holds everything snug through even the roughest terrain. The rear features a molle strap for a rear blinkie and a reflective panel keeps you seen when sunlight fades.

Texturized Mega-Grip around the saddle rail straps and around the seatpost strap keeps the entire package securely place during out-of-the-saddle efforts and over varied terrain.

Vegan-friendly, and designed and manufactured in the USA as part of a collaborative effort between Velo Orange and Road Runner Bags of Los Angeles.

Weight is about 223g. Maximum capacity is ~3.5L of pinto beans.

Perfect seat Bag

This day tripper bag is the one that opened my eyes (and wallet) to a well made, functional saddle bag. I’m hooked now, thanks road runner.

Best Saddle Bag on the market

I gave outfitted all 3 bikes with the Day Tripper Saddle Bag. It holds an enormous amount of gear. Perfect for those long 1 day rides or that credit card tour. Best looking saddle bag as well!

Perfect commuter saddle bag

This little bag is very useful on my Franken-Rando/commuter bike!

I store my tool bag inside as well as my saddle cover but there’s plenty of room for more! Easily added a wind vest and flannel in for today’s ride and still had a little room for more.

100% would recommend to anyone looking for a saddle bag. Was initially worried it would be a little bigger than I needed but the roll top capability is perfect!

Pretty nice bag...big but small.

I have this in black and it works pretty well on my road or cross bike. Relatively easy to use, good fabrics, kinda “meh” buckles though. Looks and feels like a smaller bag on the bike, but has a pretty good capacity overall. Besides the buckles being a lower-tier style than the usual Fastex-type, there is a little concern about the Velcro on the seatpost strap over time. The back of the strap /exposed part is a brushed material, which is good for not damaging clothing or Kit that might brush against it, but it doesn’t wrap the seatpost super tightly. Also, the remaining flap tie-down strap kinda hangs off the bag; not a super huge deal but could obscure a blinkie light and seems like it could be avoided. Overall I’m glad I bought it and I think it’ll really help in longer trips and when I don’t want more things on my back in jersey pockets (e.g., summer in Sacramento).

Better than Brooks England

I have replaced the Brooks England Isle of Wight Saddle Bag with the Day Tripper Saddle Bag from Velo Orange. I like it better.
