Transporteur Bag

Sold Out

Sometimes, the best bags are the simplest. Measuring out at 29L, the Transporteur Bag is a non-structured, durable, waterproof, roll top bag for your Porteur Rack or similarly sized platform rack.

The outermost fabric is extremely abrasion and water resistant Cordura, while the inside liner is seam-sealed and waterproof. Unroll the top and you'll find the main cavity is perfect for the majority of your touring or commuting gear, while the smaller, front pocket is great for all of your little stuff.

The roll-top design lends itself well to overstuffing with camping gear or groceries, but can also be cinched down for smaller loads.

While designed for our Porteur Rack, it also fits pretty well in the Wald 1372 basket.

Designed and manufactured in the USA as part of a collaborative effort between Velo Orange and Road Runner Bags of Los Angeles.

Transportuer Bag

I’ve used this awesome bag for maybe two-three years on bicycles & motorbikes. Simple, not much to breakand holds a ton when you need it to with the help of a cargo net.

Could be larger

Could use more volume. A lunchbox and a bag of uniforms fills it so I can’t close it. More width and height would me ok.

This bag completed my bike

I've got a Porteur Rack on the front of my bike and was strapping my backpack on it with cargo netting to commute. It worked but it was always kind of a pain in the butt. I switched to this bag, and it's perfect. It attached/detaches quickly for commuting, and it has additional loops to secure to the rack if I end up doing some gravel bikepacking.

Perfect except for shoulder strap!

Honestly perfect bag and design for porteur rack, front pocket very convenient, all the Velcro straps are great. The only issue I have is that the optional shoulder strap feels like an afterthought — it’s very thin and there’s no good way to carry the bag off the bike. Which is totally fine because I bought the bag to be used on the bike, but everything else is so well designed so that shoulder strap is a little disappointing.

This is the bag you're looking for

No Jedi mind trick here. After searching the galaxy for the perfect high-capacity bag for my demi-porteur rack (niche within a niche, right?) I finally found you, Monsieur Transporteur Bag. Everything is perfect for my application - being a drop bar rando bike with a demi-porteur rack. We've got a simple attachment system that works a treat and can be supplement via the daisy chains beneath for uber-security. Beautiful construction and materials. Low profile when empty but super stuffable when duty calls. Separate front pocket for all the small things. Most importantly it will swallow up my bike camping sleep system without interfering with my VO grand cru rando drop bars. It doesn't rattle or squeak like a lot of more rigid bar bags. And, AND, it teams up well (in black) with my Carradice Camper Long Flap saddlebag on the rear to give me around 48 litres of load space - the same as a large pair of panniers. Thanks VO and Road Runner. You've only gone and made my day.
