The braided housing lasts longer than the standard kind, and looks good on any bike. It's the only one I use on several bikes. Also comes in long lengths.

The cable housing looks and works great, but the front length of housing is too short for disc brakes.
It is perfectly fine for rim brakes but it’s just a little frustrating that it doesn’t reach the brakes on Velo Orange’s own frame.

I bought these when they were first offered here. They looked great and were very easy to install. No noticeable change in braking. Installed these in a bike that spends a lot of time outdoors. This exposure degraded the cable housing to the point of being unusable in less than two years. Presumably, the plastic outer coating was destroyed by the UV light exposure. It is possible that the current versions has been reformulated with UV stabilizers.

I restored a 1981 ALAN and since the frame was all silver I wanted to go with all silver components. The silver braided cable looks great!
