The Metallic Braid Derailleur Kit adds a touch of panache to any randonneur, touring, or city bike. Additionally, the housing is more compression resistant and tougher than plastic-coated housing. The cable housing has a thin clear plastic sheath to protect your bike's paint. 5mm diameter housing.

- one 300mm length lined SIS-compatible 5mm diameter housing
- one 2100mm length stretched stainless steel slick pre-stretched cable

I should’ve checked the length before I bought - I need full length housing so it came up too short to be usable. Very nice quality though.

I used a set of these derailleur and brake cables on an old Bianchi I was building up. They look wonderful. I used a cheap old pair of cable cutters to cut the housing and it was just fine after rounding back out with a wood screw. I liked them so much I bought another set for another project.

Third or fourth time I’ve ordered this housing/cable set. Very stiff housing but looks great on the bike & works well.
