We include a hardware kit to work with almost any type of mounting in the same finish as the fenders.

- Rear fender is 120cm long and the front is 90cm long
- Both come pre-drilled for stays. Front is pre-drilled for a fork crown mount
- Hardware kit includes: 5mm polished aluminum stays, R-clips and screws, L bracket, reinforcement plates, stay-to-fender closed eyelet bolts, fork crown daruma, sliding bracket, leather washers, and detailed installation instructions
Velo Orange fenders are designed to be full coverage, which means that you and your bike's drivetrain will stay clean of road muck and grime. Both front and rear fenders have full wrap around the width of your tires to eliminate spray in all directions.

I installed the fenders on my Santa Cruz stigmata, they could use some more pieces of hardware for carbon bike attachments with disc brakes. The fit was difficult as it required a lot of bending to get the fenders on. The rear fender broke off after only about 3 to 4 rides, and I can't use it anymore.
Had to wait for the first rain here in the Seattle to review...fenders arrived on-time with no problem. Thought I might have accidentally ordered two sets, and customer service was also quick and responsive. First time installing fenders myself. Easy to install with patience, my Midnight Special required no special drilling, bending etc. They work great and look amazing. I might consider getting fender flaps eventually. Thank you!
Pretty easy to install and look beautiful on my Surly Midnight Special, like they were made for the bike.
Install was easy on a 2020 fairdale weekender nomad and looks beautiful!
I've owned and installed many metal fenders over the years, but only recently did I try Velo Orange's version. My "fancy" randonneur bike has expensive, hammered Grand Bois fenders (made by Honjo). They're beautiful and function magnificently. That being said, they were $120 MORE than the Velo Oranges. I bought the Velo Orange fenders for my commuter/utility bike, so the expensive Honjos were hard to justify. I've used Berthoud fenders for this in the past, because stainless steel seemed like the toughest option, but they're relatively short and just not as elegant to my eyes. Plus they're heavier (not that it matters much for this bike).
So these were the logical choice. While I love my Honjos, and they're still the best looking to me, the VO fenders are a MUCH better deal. The quality seems to be basically just as good, though the Honjo hardware is a bit smaller and more elegant. The flip side of that is that the VO hardware is beefier, more substantial, yet still elegant (and in turn, possibly more durable in the long run?)
Things I like:
Classic, elegant appearance
The little metal reinforcements for the inside of the fenders (a small but smart addition!)
Leather washers included
Things I might change:
The chainstay bridge hole is pre-drilled. I would prefer the option to position the leading edge of the fender further below the bottom bracket to help keep the drivetrain clean. That being said, I could still do this by drilling my own hole further up, and accepting the additional hole at the end. I can also imagine that most people would prefer as many pre-drilled holes as possible, so I can certainly see why VO does it this way.
That's...about it? Honestly these fenders are an exceptional deal, so really the only reason to get something else is simply wanting a different style. Highly recommended!
