Disappointingly stiff

The description does say that this is 5mm housing—I should have read it more carefully! The inner cables are 1.2mm ø. I'm used to using 4mm housing with 1.1mm ø inner cables, compared to which the VO housing is very stiff. This might be fine for a traditional road bike, particularly one with downtube shifters. However, I ordered this for a Bike Friday with brifters, where the housing has to go under the bar tape, along the frame tubes and through the frame hinge area. It was really hard to get it to follow the necessary bends, and it introduced a lot of friction. I ended up discarding it adn re-using the old Jagwire SL housing that I had removed.

It was the best choice ever, the tone of the brown is just what I was imagine. And by touch you feel is a good quality too.

Very good housing

The housing/cables come packaged in a tight coil which gives them a tendency to bow out slightly on longer runs, but im sure they will relax over time

I haven't installed them yet. I am allowing the new paint job on the bike to cure (and I am waiting on a few parts), but I am so jazzed to have found real orange cable housing. It is going to look bitchin' on my translucent purple frame. Thanks.
