Here's a vegan-friendly saddle designed for folks who keep their handlebars at or above saddle height. The idea was to make a wider and lightweight saddle that feels something like suede and has a classic appearance thanks to a microfiber top. In addition, there are loops for a saddlebag.
At 165mm wide it's about the same width as a Brooks B17 leather saddle. But this is somewhat deceptive because there are no rivets or a flaring leather "skirt." So the sitting area is comparable to a slightly wider leather model. At 425gm the weight is significantly less than that of a modern leather saddle. Length is 282mm, about the same as a Model 3.
The microfiber's texture keeps you from sliding around and it's weather resistant. The body is thermo-plastic with a layer of high density foam. The rails are chromoly.

I'm a Brooks Cambium kind of person, they suit me well - better than their leather predecessors. This is the first saddle outside of the Brooks lineup that has ticked so many boxes for me personally.
It's firm but comfy, has saddle bag loops, proper dimensions, etc.
If you're a C17 or C19 person, give this a try, especially if your handlebar is a bit higher than your saddle.

During my first ride on the VO Touring Saddle Wide I thought it was very uncomfortable, but by the end of the 2nd ride it was starting to loosen up ,and now, 3-4 rides later, I can report that it is quite comfortable. It IS important to get the correct height and angle for your dimension. The construction and styling are excellent and I consider it a very good saddle for a fair price.

As in other reviews I appreciate the "non-skid" surface. I don't have a lot of time to break in my two Brooks saddles and I now seem to gravitate to the bike with the MF Touring Saddle. Great products; absolute rapid shipping service and quality metal (have one bike with BB and crank set) - beautiful metal workmanship.

Actually this might be my favorite saddle of all time. In my opinion this saddle strikes the perfect balance between support and comfort. It’s not too squishy, it’s not too hard. It’s just right. I’ve only been using it for commuting so far but I can see how this would be the perfect saddle for longer rides and tours.
My handlebars are lower than my saddle and I still find it incredibly comfortable. I was a little apprehensive at first about purchasing a “grippy” saddle since since I had never ridden anything like it. And yes, this saddle is very grippy and it took me a few miles to get used to it. Especially in stop and go situations where I was in and out of the saddle. But now that I’m used to it, I love it.
For the price, I think this is an absolute steal and I actually purchased two more for my other bikes.
