Perfect headset for my 88 Schwann Sierra. Smooth bearings. The beautiful silver polished headset is a nice compliment to the silver bar, stem and Seatpost.

I've been around bikes long enough to know that headsets used to have many different bearing race diameters for 1" forks. The product description stated that this headset was for older Japanese made forks...my '84-'85 Kuwahara fits the bill. What is really nice about Velo Orange is that I can call in for customer service and the service agent reassured me that the headset would be compatible...and I can confirm that it is and installation was a breeze. I now have a smooth turning headset again. Sure will miss the indexed steering that I used to have. 0ne little nit pick...wish the headset came with an extra spacer or two.
