Like a well-used Leica rangefinder, there is something undeniably comforting and warm about brass that has aged, and a bike that wears patina with pride. The fine folks over at Blue Lug in Japan couldn't find good quality brass spacers, so they started making their own.
This tapered spacer fits the contours of our Grand Cru Threadless Headset (and probably others) perfectly, making the transition from the bearing cover smooth.

Really nice looking and well made spacer. Unfortunately the outer diameter on bottom is larger than my Ritchey Classic drop in headset upper. I'll hold onto it for a future project.
1 1/8" Tapered Brass Spacer
Really unique, sophisticated, functional bike jewelry. My favorite touch of unique on my bike.
These spacers are so rad! I love that it's now easy to source a beautiful tapered spacer from your headset to your steel stem/spacer kit. I run Nitto spacers and stems, sometimes Crust, and these spacers perfectly reduce from a King headset to any steel component I've tried so far. Truly a work of art.
