Fenders are a bitch to install. These are no exception to the rule.
That said, these are straight and the curvature is fair.
My bikes have room for fenders. I haven’t had to do anything drastic to make these fit.
They work. Look good. Do what they’re supposed to do.
What more can I say?
I have a surly straggler with 650b tires, and these fenders were a perfect fit for it. Putting the fenders on was a bit tedious. I had to remove both tires a couple times to really get the fit right. A few screws can’t be adjusted while the tire is on, but it is hard to see how the fender aligns without the tire on. I had to run to the hardware store to get a few screws that weren’t included, but there were a lot of screws included that I didn’t need. Just depends on what you’re working with.
Happy with how they turned out though!
I haven’t had a chance to install them yet, but I’m pleased with how they look.
A bear to install. but so are all fenders even plastic. Re radiused from 650 b to 26 x 42mm tire. Good fender line. Barely wide enough. Needed to cut front fender cause too long. Used Problem solver for fork crown. I used Portland design works extra long front fender attachment for Front fender to Rack & Fork crown and for rear brake bridge as well as their breakaway fender stay attachments for front fork. These keep catastrophe at bay if you get a stick in the spokes.
Breakaways also make easier to adjust the fender not to mention if you cut the fender stays too short ;-)) Looks good and keeps me dry. What else can you ask for?
Lightweight, elegant lines and curves, and none of that notoriously stubborn installation (ahem Berthoud). I can finally make plans to ride to French Fender Day in style. My one gripe is that the ends of the fenders have been crimped, closing off the rolled edges where my thin plastic mudflaps slide. A quick bit of work with some pliers and a wire cutter fixed that.
