Since April of 2018 I used a Holdsworth crankset with chainrings having 48 and 34 teeth. I recently discovered the Grand Cru Crankset with chainrings having 46 and 30 teeth. The change from 34 to 30 teeth is a decrease of almost 12%, providing a much lower lowest gear, which means I will be able to ride up hills that otherwise I would have to walk.

FYI: I installed the crankset on a 112 mm spindle.

This one will be laced with Velocity Atlas 650B rims for a custom rando , the other two are working great with 700C Voyager rims.

These klunkers dialed in the ride, feel, and look of my Neutrino. I’ve spent hours on rides with no discomfort. Love the upright positioning it provides on my mini Velo. Another win for VO!

This beautiful stem worked perfectly. I am modifying my mountain bike into a city bike and with this stem and the new upright handlebars from Velo Orange I am so much more upright and comfortable. It is also shiny and pretty!

I’m 66 years old-and I’m done with 52 teeth big rings. The Grand Cru’s slightly smaller chain ring size and completely perfect vintage look is a great product, hope it doesn’t go away soon. Already bought 3 for my vintage steel frames.
