The VO Crazy Bars are intended for touring on paved and unpaved roads, single and double track, gravel and crushed limestone, and everything in between.

The main, swept back section provides excellent control and leverage on rough and tumble surfaces, while the the bullhorn section offers an aero position for smoother roads and headwinds. The junction of the horns and sweeps feels similar to being on the hoods of drop bars and makes for a nice, neutral position.

The main bar uses a 22.2mm grip area so MTB grips, levers, and shifters fit. The "horns" are 23.8mm, so road components like bar ends and inverse levers are compatible. The stem clamp area is 31.8mm.

Crazy Bars are made from 6061 aluminum and are heat treated. Weight is a reasonable 532g. They are MTB-rated and available in sand-blasted Silver and Noir.

The Ultimate Adventure Bar

I had watched for the Crazy Bar 2.0 to come into stock every day last year, and so glad I waited. They have to be the most comfortable I have ever used. The back sweep and width is right in the sweet spot for me, and the aero extensions are in a great spot and have just the right length to them for me to get tucked in on a windy ride. If I ever had them fail, I'd definitely buy another set.

Fantastic alternative bar for touring and bikepacking

After a major crash on the Great Divide last July, suffering numerous fractures to my neck and shoulder, I was looking at alternative handlebars. My shoulder wasn’t handling the pressure on it while riding in the drops and my neck’s range of motion was hindering me also. After figuring out that the drops were going to be a waste to me I started looking for alternatives. I have been a big fan of Jones H-bars for years, but know that I like riding the hoods of the handlebars while touring. When I initially saw the VO Crazy Bars I was a little put off by the appearance, even when on the bike prior to wrapping them. After wrapping the bars and taking them out on a shake down ride I was an immediate fan. They even worked out fantastic with my Rohloff shifter.
I’m looking forward to taking these Crazy Bars out on a tour this summer.

Best of both worlds

You get to lean forward while grinding up steeps and do a lil bit o tuckin when flying down, (diy brake ideas and parts sources would be nice,) the lowers have the perfect amount of sweep for me. Mileage may vary. Love these bars on the bike they are on. They are versatile and sturdy. According to this reviewer, the crazy bars get it done. 🤘

A perfect bar for a Whole day on saddle? Definitely Light enough.

Been searching for a bar to go on multi day packing while less back or arm strains. First I used a chromoly moto bar. Reasonably comfy but at 1kg and bends at shoulder width does not work for me.
Crazy bar has a plenty pull back for wrists, shoulder width horns to straighten and stretch. Wide enough to tackle steep messy single or 4WD/dirt(moto)bike tracks safely. Now all I want is brake cylinders which are easier on hands (suppose I could wrap them with bar tape -geeze).

Wide & Comfortable

Well-made component and a great upgrade from a regular old flat bar.
