I converted an old Trek 520 with these, new levers and shifters from Velo Orange and all are working out very well. The bars are shorter than I envisioned (of course I didn't look at the details on the size) but work great -- as do the levers and shifters. And very reasonable prices all around.
While most people take backswept bars as suited to upright relaxed riding, I use these to do just the opposite - I find the narrower, angled bars perfect for crouching low and strong, like an upside down shoulder width bench press, making vigorous out of saddle pedaling easy. Oddly, after just setting up, I had to raise my saddle considerably, on an urban style bike. Just make sure you have grips with a nice palm rest.
The Postino is also great, I just find that the Milan gives you more options since you can flip it for positive or negative rise.
I replaced the straight bars on my old Trek 950, and it does make a world of difference. The sweep helps compensate for the long stem, which I kept on there. Now my sitting position is less aggressive and more comfortable.
Quality is exceptional, and the price was great. Love my shiny new bars!
I have had these bars on various commuters for more than a decade now, and just love them. I recently swapped them out for the Curvy Bar, which has a similar bend but is slightly wider. These, however, will definitely find a home on another bike.
