The VO Crazy Bars are intended for touring on paved and unpaved roads, single and double track, gravel and crushed limestone, and everything in between.

The main, swept back section provides excellent control and leverage on rough and tumble surfaces, while the the bullhorn section offers an aero position for smoother roads and headwinds. The junction of the horns and sweeps feels similar to being on the hoods of drop bars and makes for a nice, neutral position.

The main bar uses a 22.2mm grip area so MTB grips, levers, and shifters fit. The "horns" are 23.8mm, so road components like bar ends and inverse levers are compatible. The stem clamp area is 31.8mm.

Crazy Bars are made from 6061 aluminum and are heat treated. Weight is a reasonable 532g. They are MTB-rated and available in sand-blasted Silver and Noir.

Great bars

Really fun bars. I am enjoying them and love riding on the “hoods”

Almost perfect

Love them. I take away one star cause they’d be perfect with more rise. 50mm, or even 60mm would be great. It’d make them even more comfortable.

Crazy Bars are Crazy Good!

I love my Crazy Bars (Noir). I swapped out the factory handlebars on my Fairdale, and I'm so glad I made the switch. The Crazy Bars allow me more comfort and flexibility for longer distances, not to mention the option of cruising while using the horns. I highly recommend for commuters and long distance riders alike. Thank you Velo Orange!

Now on two bikes

I’m running Crazy Bars on two of my bikes. There’s plenty of hand positions including as aero as I want to be. I’ve got various drop bars but feel I’m as efficient and much more comfortable with these CrazyBars. Very happy with them

Much more comfortable

I swapped my flat bar on a Marin DSX for the Crazy bar. The (super extra) width give a lot of control and I can say that holding the horns makes me faster. It fits on my DSX with no problem (cable length, shifter, brake levers, ...). The weep makes a HUGE difference for numb wrists. I would say that I lost power when starting at a traffic light so maybe not the best for an urban commuter in big cities... Overall, I love it and will keep the 780 mm (i thought of cutting it to 740 mm).
