I put these on my 90s-era Stumpjumper which I rode for years as my commuter bike. Feels like an entirely different bike now way better for easy "slow" riding - in traffic, etc. They do bring the arms way way back so I could have settled for something in between the flat bars. And being steel, they are pretty heavy but that wasn't a concern for this ride.

I got these just in time for my open ended bicycle tour starting with India. (I have been on the road for 3.5 years now.) They have been a complete game changer for me, transforming my comfort levels over long hours of cycling on my 55-60 kg steed, including in some rather difficult and extreme conditions. Not only do they provide me with a more upright riding position, but their width and grip angle is a great help in maneuvering, with 15 kg on my front forks plus a handlebar bag. The additional flat connecting tube is fantastic for mounting anything you need to, to complete your cockpit. (I roll a piece of inner tube around it with electric tape to keep it from unravelling,to get the desired thickness before mounting.)
Further, VO stands behind their product like a rock. Maybe because of the conditions in which it was used or otherwise, my handlebar developed some rust, which I had to remove and repaint. I merely informed them of it as a matter of feedback, as a long time had elapsed since I had bought it. I got an immediate reply offering a replacement or refund! This was beyond all expectations, but has made me a VO fan for life! And as good as their word, they had a new bar delivered to me in India!!

I was originally worried that the wider width and moderate back sweep would change my preferred riding position too much from the very swept back Nitto B438 bars I was running, but the change was minimal. These bars are rad!
