The Granola Bar is our take on a traditional city and touring bar while retaining elegant lines and curves that is often lost in many of today's modern offerings. Width is a cool 650mm and rise is generous at 30mm. With 60 degrees worth of sweep, you'll have a fairly upright position with a ton of control. At 180mm in length, the grip area is more than enough for modern sized grips, brake levers, and shifters. The clamp diameter is 31.8mm and the grip diameter is 22.2mm.

This One Is Better

I needed a handlebar that brought my hands closer while still allowing me to have even balance over the frame. The Granola Bar accomplishes this exactly as it should. And it looks great.

Classic excellence

After owning several different handlebars over the years, the Granola Bar surpasses new designs with the classic glorious hand positions which have stuck around for decades!

Update to my “Upright at 63” review.

Completed the install of the Granola bar today. I received the new 80mm quill stem and wide Velo Orange saddle. The stem is beautiful and looks well made. I am still not able to ride more than a mile or two as I am still recovering from shoulder surgery. The bar and the Velo Orange grips are very comfortable. My wife tested it out and wants me to convert her bike.
She also loved the saddle.
My initial impression of the saddle is very positive. I’ll review it around March or April when I will be able to ride for longer periods.
I included a few pics. The stem shifter Is a Shimano from the 70s.

Upright at 63

Multiple surgeries on both arms and hands have made it hard to ride drop bars. I have only installed them, with the help of a friend, and put the bike on the trainer. I still have a couple of months until I can ride as I am recovering from rotator cuff surgery. The bars are a thing of beauty and, at least on the trainer, are extremely comfortable for my old bones. I can’t wait to hit the road.
