These shims allow 25.4mm diameter handlebars to fit in 26.0mm stems. They are precision made from stainless steel and then bead blasted to prevent slipping.

The shims are available in two widths: the 35mm width fits most aluminum quill stems while the 45mm width is for most threadless and wider quill stems.

They’re fine, however could be shorter for fitting up to a common road stem (32.5mm). At present length there’s extra shim sticking out.

Works perfectly

Just the item needed to install a modern handlebar on my mid '80s Specialized RockHopper conversion. Fits properly between the two contact areas and grips like they are not there, easily trimmed for aesthetic reasons. Now if there were only as easy a way to use modern brake cables in place of the $65+ and only going up out of production 6mm barreled Shimano MT-092 and save my good old full width brake handles :(
