Here's a lightweight, but wider, saddle designed for folks who keep their handlebars at or above saddle height. The idea was to make a wider, inexpensive and lightweight saddle that feels something like a leather saddle and has a classic appearance.
At 165mm wide it's about the same width as a Brooks B17 leather saddle. But this is somewhat deceptive because there are no rivets or a flaring leather "skirt." So the sitting area is comparable to a slightly wider leather model. At 425g, the weight is significantly less than that of a modern leather saddle. Length is 282mm, about the same as a Brooks Swallow saddle.
The smooth texture allows you slide around and get comfortable during long rides and ascents. The top is extremely water resistant - great for touring and city bikes. The body is thermo-plastic with a layer of high density foam. The rails are chromoly. All materials are vegan approved.

I got one of these on sale for my vintage ATB because I liked the look, the saddle loops, and the promised comfort. I liked it so much that I got a second one for my gravel bike.
You could buy 4 of these for the price of a B17. It's a great saddle, regardless of price, but all the better since it's so affordable.
my commuter is a miyata touring bike, set up with albatross bars. I wanted a saddle that would allow me to run a carradice saddlebag, but something a little less precious and a little more waterproof than my Brooks saddle. This fits the bill perfectly. It's very comfortable for sub 20 mile rides (it might be great for longer, I just haven't taken this bike further than that). If in doubt, get it for an upright bike where your handlebars are even with or above your saddle.
I bought this saddle for my 1984 Bianchi super record, which is now my commuter. It's comfortable and it looks great!
Excellent straightforward saddle. Nicely made, very comfortable for my average male butt doing easy road rides. Complements my “classic” bike nicely.
Great saddle for my vintage Fuji touring bike. Very good quality as always from Velo Orange.
