These are not stainless. They are chrome plated steel.

I ordered these medium stainless clips for a restoration. The finish is a high polish silver and look like chrome without the drawbacks. Fit to the MKS pedal cage is perfect with a range of adjustment allowing centering. The attachment bolts were overly long but easily replaced with metric equivalents. An excellent product at a fair price.

These look and work like any Christophe (Zefal) or MSK toe clips I’ve had over the past 55 years. Work perfectly, will last a lifetime and require no maintenance. With aging I’m now outfitting and riding a new/old Alex Moulton bicycle set up for an upright riding position. But I just can’t bare to strip parts from my old Moulton with drop-down bars - even If all I do with it is take in a nostalgic gaze every now and again. Hence the need for a new pair of tow clips.

I once lived in an American city having a Chinatown, where in a shop I got a pair of lightweight, black, slip-on shoes with thin, flexible, lightly-padded soles, wearing them was almost like walking barefoot and they turned out to be excellent cycling shoes. Now, many years later, I still use that same style of shoe, have worn them year round through sunshine, rain and snow and these Stainless Steel Toe Clips are identical to the clips I have been using all these years. I leave the straps just slightly loose so my shoes can slip in and out with no need to adjust the straps.
