Touring Pedals for Touring - Who Knew?

It turns out that SPD pedal systems are not so great for loaded, mixed-surface tours. I replaced them with these Velo Touring Pedals, and added clips & straps. They are light, strong, grippy and secure, and allow for easy foot insertion & removal even when I am riding in the rough, wearing lightweight hiking boots.

Love these Pedals! For the design and the grip. They grip like platform pedals but look much nicer on a classic bike. Been looking for something like this for a long time! I use them on my city fixie.

Light, durable traditional pedals

I use these on all my gravel bikes. I add plastic strapless toe clips and my feet stay planted on the pedal through all kinds of bumps. Been using Velo Orange Touring Pedals for over 5 years now and never had to replace one.
