from 4819 reviewsI bought these bars to make my Specialized Sirrus more upright and comfortable and they certainly do the job. They have a nice amount of rise. If I ever want to make them more sporty I’ll have about 30mm cut from both ends, which would make them about as wide as Jones bars.
The engineering and feel of the Grand Cru 3 ring crank is like shifting seamless air. The fixed cartidge bearing bottom bracket turns with the ease of a windmill, while the momentum carries me up and over landscapes with the silence of a fine sable paintbrush. So quiet my tires sing with the sound of a bow touching upon the strings of a violin.
Very nice bearings, and easy install. Really a nice touch of accent color to personalize your ride. Super smooth shifting, waaay better than the original jockey wheels.
I purchased a Velo Orange touring saddle. I'm a user based in Korea, and I was able to buy it through a local builder who imports them.
The leather is thicker than Brooks, and I'm happy with the price since it's more affordable. The reinforcement is excellent, and I like the non-woven fabric on the underside that protects it from mud and moisture.
I bought this around 2014, and have had it since (it's now 2026). Didn't think much of it...removed many many bottom brackets with it. But last night, I had a super rusted bottom bracket that was like stuck stuck. Even a 16" breaker bar was not working. Seeing as how its 1/2", I brought out my impact driver that I normally reserve for autowork, and sure enough, I free the bottom bracket, and the tool still looks no worse of the wear. I am extremely happy with this purchase.
This stem has helped me get reacquainted with drop bars. Previously, hands not high enough (and to some extent, having to reach) were literal pain points. So far so good w the Happy!
I'm calling it, new favorite bar tape. The easiest wrapping tape I've ever used and incredibly durable. Grip level is top tier as well.
These fit to my favorite play bike, a hardtail dropbar mountain bike for long days. The shortpull brake levers are “good enough,” I do think they feel slightly soft/elastic on Spyres even with non-compression housing. The shift mechs are good— they are running 3x9 for me, on XT/XTR super wide (22/34/46 11-32). The bike sees everything from long paved pass descents to 25% loose singletrack climbs—it’s like 640% range and they all actually get used. As said everywhere, shifting on modern cassettes is sorta close/ramped enough to keep shifts in good order and non-clacky. I think I will ultimately put the biggest internal pulley on the left/front/triple derailler— the two big throws now feel very big there. The “return” spring effect on the small levers on both deraillers is a bit weak, I am trying to ensure the cable housing paths are clean. Strong recommendation for these brifters tho— these are nice and high quality bits, and nothing else does what they do. (Prev I used Kelly Takeoffs with Ultegra Barend 3x9 Levers for 12 years)
Nice beautifully made padding for my wife’s basket and bag. Used it on some chunkier terrain this past week and helped reduce rattling on the metal basket and some added piece of mind for the delicate items in the bag.
I find this Velo Orange leather saddle to be very comfortable for me. It also looks great and the craftsmanship is excellent. I've installed it on my Polyvalent Low Kicker and it just complements the bike.
I now have 3 bikes with Zeste cantilever brakes, the oldest is from 2012 and is still working great after thousands of miles on numerous extended tours. Light weight and powerful enough for fully loaded touring in the mountains with plenty of adjustments so set-up and maintenance is easy. I have other brands of cantis which are lighter or have slightly better stopping power but they come with drawbacks. These are the best all around cantis, period, especially for the very reasonable price.
I have these brakes on two bikes. I liked them so much on my drop bar gravel bike that I got a set for my alt bar ATB. I just took that bike on some mountain bike trails and the brakes work great. Gobs of stopping power, and the ability to feather. When you can have brakes that look this sexy, I don't see the point in buying hydros ever again.
Comfy!!!!!! feels great, after each ride.
Very comfortable. Like it so much I bought two.
I’m super happy with this. It fit the cantilever bosses on my old Bianchi Advantage, and it works great with a Wald 137.
