Sets off the cranks on my Milk Run bike

I was looking for some self indulgent brass bling on my single speed milk run bike. These did a good job and the self extracting feature are a bonus.

Beautiful!

These brass crank caps spark joy every time I look at them! The install was pretty straight forward but one caveat worth mentioning to hopefully save some folks confusion...They don't interface perfectly with all crank bolts so don't force it! I had to go through my crank bolt drawer to find bolts with a shoulder that matched up with these brass caps well so as to allow the head of the bolt to sit nice and flush with the brass extractor cap. The whole self extraction feature is great and all but the aesthetic is the real reward! It maybe that I've been riding my bike more because it catches my eye in the garage more often than not as of late but I swear the bike glides a little faster for them! Keep these coming in VO! I'm a square taper junkie!

Brass

What can I say..... brass is better. My second set now. Subtle but I still dig it

Gotta love those brass caps!

I like these all out of proportion to what they actually are—caps to keep the gunk out of my square-taper fixie crank threads. They look great (better than the online photo, actually!), are a bit pricey, and probably will get pretty scratched-up, eventually (can always sand them). Nice solid chunk of brass, too…no skimping, here. I should mention they’re very nicely finished. Maybe could be used as an extractor, but I’ll stick with my park-tool steel version (if you’re considering use as an extractor, I’d suggest you research it first, but you’ll need a nylon washer, in any case). Would buy again in a minute.
