The seatpost is very nicely made and while being somewhat annoying to assemble is very nice to setup but sadly no tightening torque is being mentioned for the seatpost bolt :( I just assumed a higher torque spec for M6 bolts but I still feel like a ace torque value should have been provided by Velo Orange…
I’d have given 5 stars if they had added a torque value…
Seatposts aren't rocket science, finicky is ok, set it and forget it. Ran it for a couple years without any issues.
Usually Velo-orange gets it right. This is a fail. First, the setback changes as you change the tilt of the saddle. The design of the clamp makes it so multiple movements occur when trying to adjust one (setback or tilt). And as the saddle tilts, there is more height change than in a traditional two bolt system. Additionally, getting the saddle rails on this engineering mishap is finicky and best performed on a bench rather than on the bike.
I highly advise a standard two bolt system without this type of curved track and single bolt. I hope VO makes more modes like the 30mm setback and ditches this poor design.
