Cold forged from 7075 aluminum alloy. The rings are thicker so they don't flex as on classic cranks. The outer rings have modern shifting aids such as ramps and pins, so shifting performance is much improved. All stainless hardware with allen head nuts/bolts. Includes aluminum machined dust caps and BB bolts. Dust caps function as self extracting crank hardware.

Old School classic look

Nice crank for the $, has profile of early 80's mtb cranks, modern cut chainwheels, need to have a longer bb spindle, depending on derailleur travel and frame clearance. Elegant look for a classy bike. Finish matches MKS sylvan pedals perfectly!

123mm (122.5) Bottom bracket for VO triple crank

Happy with the fit and finish and shipping excellent as always with VO... VO recommends a 124mm BB but had to go with a shimano 122.5 (123mm) BB due to availibility of 124mm BB lacking anywhere it seems. 123mm BB fit fine however on my 80s steel Franklin touring bike build..

Rock solid

I have this Grand Cru triple on my Surly Long Haul Trucker coupled with a Shimano 11/36 HG400 cassette and it is an absolute stair climber! The dust caps act as an arm puller and it actually works. Im using an English thread V/O bottom bracket, and though i could have spent less. I am very satisfied with the feel and ride. The Grand Cru is a bit expensive yet i think it will last a decade. It looks beautiful and is an eye catcher.
