The VO English Threaded Bottom Bracket uses quality sealed bearings for simplicity and durability.

  • Classic square taper design
  • JIS taper - works with most cranks
  • Hollow boron steel axle
  • Aluminum cups
  • 258g (110mm length)
  • Spindles are available in a variety of lengths to fit most cranksets
  • Includes crank bolts

Generally it is the crank model that determines spindle length, so check what spindle length the crank manufacturer recommends or measure your old BB. If between sizes, it's usually wise to choose the longer.

Use the Dajia Cycleworks Bottom Bracket Tool or Park Tool BBT-22 for installation.

127mm BB is perfect fit for Surly Long Haul Trucker

I had bought the Grand Cru crankset two or three years ago and now that I purchased the 127mm BB it works great. Previously I had been having problems shifting into the lowest chainring. I problem I had with a previous 80's Motobecane crank, also. I was using a Shimano BB-UN55 127mm which is symmetrical. I finally spent the time to measure the chain line and it looked to be off by about 2mm. Lo' and behold the Velo Orange 127mm BB is offset by about 2mm. Problem solved! Wish the description said that before I bought the spacers that I now don't need. c'est la vie.

Old Raleigh Recap.

Purchased a few years back on a late 60's Raleigh restoration project. Used as a trainer weekdays and on the road during weekends. Smooth running with no play ( Did not use a dial gauge) while rotating by hand. And yes new bearing seals are a little stiff when rotating by hand - starting torque. Not to worry they wear in just fine unless the bearing is damaged. All in all a great product for the money, highly recommended.

A must for every bike!

I use these on every restoration project! Smooth and I know I can ignore the bottom bracket, ongoing, during periioding maintenance. And a great value.
