Generally it is the crank model that determines spindle length, so check what spindle length the crank manufacturer recommends or measure your old BB. If between sizes, it's usually wise to choose the longer.

Perfect for my black '80 Schwinn Voyageur 11.8 rebuild. I chased the old threads on the BB first and the BB went in flawlessly. Perfect axel length for this vintage road bike.

Threaded Bottom Bracket

Not yet used (I'm waiting for my vintage frame to be restored) but the Velo Orange English Bottom Bracket looks the part and I'm anticipating when I can fit it and get the chainline right for my 2/3 x 6 speed setup. It is beautifully made.

So far I have ridden about 70 miles with this bottom bracket on my single speed and they feel smooth. The silver matches the other silver parts on my bike and overall, I have nothing to complain about!

Great addition to my '88 Cannondale SM500

After finding the '88 SM500 in my size locally, I decided to build an ATB for around town errands and local trails. I raided the used parts stash and added a few VO parts to finish the project. The New Albion Cycle XDT triple (removed from a bike I sold) recommended the 113mm bottom bracket which was paired with Alivio T4000 3x9 setup. The bottom bracket installed easily and the spindle turned smoothly but was initially a bit stiff but that resolved itself after some riding time. Chain line is great and shifting is smooth and predictable. Bike also received VO Hot bars, VO stem, and upgraded to a VO stem last weekend. Love the look, love the quality, and love the end results! Thanks VO!
