Keep your old French bike on the road!

  • Sealed, cartridge bearings for simplicity and longevity
  • Classic square taper design
  • JIS taper - works with most cranks
  • Hollow, boron steel axle
  • Aluminum cups
  • 258g (110mm length)
  • Spindles are available in a variety of lengths to fit most cranksets
  • Includes crank bolts

Generally it is the crank model that determines spindle length, so check what spindle length the crank manufacturer recommends or measure your old BB. If between sizes, it's usually wise to choose the longer.

Use the Dajia Cycleworks Bottom Bracket Tool or Park Tool BBT-22 for installation.

French threaded bottom bracket

All aspects of the French threaded cartridge bottom bracket are perfect, except for the choice of spindle length. This one I bought from you is 113 mm, which works, but is just slightly too long. While the original was 112 mm, the 113 mm makes the chainline a bit too far "outboard." No matter, I am pleased with the bottom bracket. Thank you.

Used to keep a 1972 Mondia Super running.

french threaded bottom bracket

beautifully made, almost too good for the bike (70's Puegeot UO8), but couldn't have worked better

Peugeot commuter fix

Worked great! Was worried about the internal threads on the frame, but after cleaning them up this worked really well. Drive side first, then the lock side. Had to muscle it a bit - always scary, I’ve stripped them before - but ended up ok.

Haven’t installed yet, but looking forward to using an enclosed BB instead of having to re-lube bearings.

Worked like a charm

Bought a 107 mm for my 1972 Peugeot UO-8 and it worked perfect.
