Happy Stem 31.8mm
What's with the name? It's a simple all-silver polished threadless stem with a 45 degree angle to keep your back and wallet happy. It's perfect for touring or dirt drops like our Dajia Far Bar.
Four-bolt face plate. For 31.8mm bars and 1-1/8" (28.6mm) forks. 45-degree rise; at least 37mm of steerer is required. The design of the stem eliminates the need for a stem cap. Longer compression bolt is included. This stem will not work with the threadless stem adapter and is not to be used with carbon steerer tubes.
- Handlebar Clamp: 31.8mm
- Steerer Clamp: 1-1/8"
- Steerer required: 37mm
- Angle: +45deg
- Weight: 203g (90mm size)
We do offer a shim for 1" threadless forks.
The happy stem is definitely the Goldilocks between the easy-to-find 45d 90mm stem (too low) and the LD / Cigne stem (too high) to get drops where you want them on a 90s mtb conversion. Or at least on my Yo Eddy. Fit and finish are typically excellent, unsurprisingly.
Very nice stem 👌🏾
I’m fairly tall and am forever looking for stems to dial in my fit. Finally something that looks good, doesn’t impair functionality, and isn’t ridiculously expensive.
Great looking stem, finish and specs exactly what I expected. The rubber cover to the stem bolt does not stay pushed in, and flops around. Otherwise a great riser solution.
Happy happy with this stem. I also have the Cigne Stem, I prefer the happy stem. This one has a bit better reach and just the right rise. Steering with the Cigne was a little wonky in my experience. Extra bonus, the shape and angles of the happy stem are more attractive in my opinion. One thing I wish this had was a better plug for the starnut bolt hole. Mine fits loose and has flopped out time to time.
Such an affordable and elegant game-changing stem. I ain't no roadie so I was sort of flummoxed when my LBS store chopped my steerer tube on my new all-road bike before asking me where I wanted it. I tried the more aero position, but it was not working out well. In comes the Happy Stem! With a few other adjustments, my handlebars are sitting high and happy, and most importantly, my body is happy. The polished look also ties into my build quite well!
