This stem adapter is the best because it's the only one where you mount the stem from the top instead of the bottom. This way you don't need to remove the adapter from the bike to change stems.

This thing is way too heavy. I'm not a weight weeny but really.
It looks good though. I'm taking it off and buying one on Amazon that is significantly lighter.

Took out my old quill stem and fit this in it's place. I really liked it as it enabled me to adapt a gravel bar to a commuter touring bike I picked up.

Good quality product, beautiful polished finish. The stem adaptor requires a stem with a collar height of less than 1-1/2”, 40 cm. I do not believe this is clearly shown in the specs, Velo Orange is calling this dimension stack height a term normally used to describe height of top of head tube on frame. The collar on the Bontrager stem I was planning on using was too tall for safe attachment. Using another stem this adaptor has allowed me to increase effective stack height without replacing threaded fork
